Rebecca has worked with students and schools her entire career. She’ll make sure local school districts are heard in Olympia and receive the funding they need. Rebecca knows the value apprenticeships, vocational schools, and career training bring to Southeastern Washington and will prioritize their accessibility and availability. Rebecca has worked extensively with low-income and special needs students, and will fight to expand their educational opportunities and close the achievement gap.

Investing in Local Infrastructure

Growing up on a small family farm, Rebecca understands the infrastructure challenges facing rural and farming communities. As a Public Works Trust Fund appointee and a board member for the Freight Mobility Strategic Investment, Rebecca brought transportation projects like the Red Mountain Interchange I-82, Kartchner Overpass on US 395, and US 12 Walla Walla road improvements to our community. In the legislature Rebecca will invest in projects that help farms, businesses, and community members in Southeast Washington.

Our current healthcare system is physically and financially inaccessible for many. Understaffed jails and local safety officials are asked to serve the needs of the mentally ill who aren’t getting the services they need. This flawed structure isn’t serving the taxpayers who fund it. Rebecca will fight to ensure everyone has access to quality, affordable healthcare.
